Yes Bloggy Dargys !
Havent written many blogs have i?? Well heres one for today. Been stupidly busy recentley as I'm releasing my latest mixtape ON MY JAI'S-THE PRELUDE, on my own! But I can now give you the official release date of 09/09/09. NOW ive decided this should be the day the world gets to hear my project , I believe that 9 is a very special and important number, there is no number stronger or higher than 9 ... number 10, 11 and 12 are simply repeats of previous numbers... As much as im a crazy joker I also observe,plan and strategise everything i do in order to suceed and elevate, Releasing this project on 09/09/09 gives strong universal support and infinate potential.. ANYWAYS...
What have I been up to ??.. Too much, no cake baking going down since ive been better :0( I decorated my bedroom recentley, didnt realise how HARD it is... and also realised why women stay in really unhappy marriages for decades-decorating is traumatic!
But its looking real nice now, got the curtains up finally on sunday and now I dont wake up at 5am with the sun blinding me everyday. My lil crib is looking nice now. but yea ...HARD WORK.. not for the faint hearted... Thanks to L & N who helped me out :0)
Other than that I've just been trying to make people KNOW ABOUT MEEEEE... WHO I AM AND WHAT IM TRYING TO DO OUT HERE and yeah not tdoing to badly at that. Ive entered into an online competetion called THE CORDLESS SHOW which basically you enter, the public vote you and the person who gets the most votes wins... and performs on the CORDLESS SHOW and also accompanies them on a nationwide university tour. I'd really love to win but the experience itself has been great and some of the comments people have written on the page have been really inspiring and encouraging -THANK YOU .. if you are yet to vote, it closes on 20th August so GET ON WITH IT :0)

Banana Cake Wednesday - Blog #1
What is happening ?? Its been a while since i've written anything remotely 'bloggish' but I feel its a good way for me to express what goes on in the crazy mind &world of me (JAI / JASMINA) Also as I'm getting busier musically, I have less time free to be involved with a bag of different sites so I feel as long as I stay in charge of this one, it will keep our relationship a bit more personal and allow me to retain my random edge and talk about whatever I want to..
Well today, I have renamed Banana Cake Wednesday, No real subliminals people, its wednesday and I sincerley intend to bake a banana cake :0)
My Grandmother gave me this reciepe and as i'm indoors recovering (I've been pretty sicky lately) I thought i'd give it a go.
The last fortnight has been challenging to say the least, at a routine hospital visit they discovered I was quite seriously unwell but trying to remain positive i'm a lot better now and have learned a lot about myself in this short 14 day hibernation that I was forced to endure.
The most annoying part of it is that almost as soon as I fell ill, London decided to pretend to be Miami for a hot sec and the weather outside has been beautiful, Sunshine, summer breeze THE LOT ! and now i'm starting to feel a little better the gloom has resumed ! Hope it comes back ..
The last 24 hours has been a wacky rollercoaster ride of emotions but I'm glad I rolled with it (no pun intended) I spent some long overdue quality time with a good friend who I dont see enough, she came to check up on me, brought me some healthy stuff (she's very alternative) and we talked about nuff different things, watched films and she even made me cups of tea :o) Now thats love right thurrrr... NB: This might be your first encounter of me.. but remember me and tea... we go WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back... So anyway my friend, we'll call her 'Sense' for now, brought a lot of laughs, positivity and sense to my day. I hope that one day I can do the same for her.
So now its 17.12pm.. I can hear the distant screechs, laughs and cries of kids playing in my estate, a slow bassline coming from a nearby house with every window open in some kinda attempt to invite the sunny days back, and inside I feel kinda peaceful like I'm getting better a lil bit, so i guess thats good. Gonna sign off for now and head to the kitchen, so that banana cake wednesday doesnt remain, simply- wednesday. I'll post the recipe below just in case the culinary wizard within you is screaming for something different.

Banana Cake
75g Soft Butter plus lil bit more for greasing your baking trays
4 ripe bananas peeled and mashed up
200g soft brown sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 pinch of salt
170g flour (plain)
Preheat the oven to 180c/Gas 4
Use a little butter to grease your bread tin or cake tin
Pour the mashed bananas into a big mixing bowl and mix in the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract
Add Bicarbonate of soda and salt and last but not leastmix in the flour.
Pour the mixture into the tin.. Fling it in the oven for 50 mins to an hour
Remove from the oven and allow to cool
Then.. serve in slices ..
